NVQ Level 2 Construction Operations
(Course code: NVQ2CO)
Who is this for?
The National Vocational Qualification will enable experienced operators to prove their competency so that they can obtain the qualification.
The Experienced Operator Route is efficient and cost effective in terms of time and resources.
Qualification Routes are as follows:
General Building Operations
Drainage Construction
General Construction
Modular Pavement Construction
Laying Kerbs and Channels
Course Duration
Course Duration will vary depending on experience and machine availability.
Accreditation
Training Express uses an assessment system that is based on electronic evidence gathering. Footage is recorded over a series of site visits and burned onto CD to be presented with the NVQ certificate at the end of each successful course.
This means the operator can get on and do what he does best - operate the machine, rather than spend time compiling a paper based portfolio.
Additional Information
To achieve the qualification, candidates are: Profiled & inducted, Observed carrying out performance operations and Questioned on their knowledge
In addition, statements from supervisors and/or logbook entries are used to ascertain competence over time.
Full funding is available in the South West through the CITB Train to Gain consortium. Call to discuss eligibility.
Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.
