What the law says

The Control of Pesticide Regulations 1986
requires anyone who uses pesticides in the course of business or employment to have
received adequate instruction and guidance in the safe, efficient and humane use of such pesticides, and to be competent in the duties undertaken. The National Proficiency Test Council awards a certificate of competence which is recognised by legislation.
