Who is this for?

This two day approved Lantra course has been designed for the Occasional User, e.g. “Someone who intends to use chainsaws for business domestic or leisure activities, but does not intend to work in forestry or arboricultural activities or work on Forest Enterprises land or fell material above 200 mm in diameter”.

Course Duration

This is a 2 day course.

Accreditation

Successful candidates are issued with a certificate of basic training, identity card and registered with Lantra Awards

Additional Information

Company to supple timber.

Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.

What the law says

Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998...
‘All workers who use a chainsaw should be competent to do so. Before using a chainsaw to carry out work on or in a tree, a worker should have received appropriate training and obtained a relevant certificate of competence‘.
