Who is this for?

This course has been designed for goods vehicle and commercial drivers.

All organisations, large or small, private or public, are being expected to develop a systematic approach to managing occupational road risk that is appropriate to their business. To be successful, this approach will need to be underpinned by a proactive, positive road safety culture that is demonstrated by defensive driving.

Trainees will gain an approved understanding of their vehicle, improved concentration, increased observation skills, hazard planning and response
reduced accidents.

An integral part of the course is the use of the company vehicle. Therefore, adequate insurances must be in place.

Additional Information

Annually around 3,400 people are killed and more than 44,500 seriously injured in accidents on Britain’s roads. It is estimated that about 30% of these involve ‘at work’ drivers and as many as 1,000 people die every year in occupational accidents on our roads.

Mileage costs may be applied to training taking place over 25 miles from our sites.
