Who is this for?
This half day accredited course has been designed to inform employees of the basic principles of lifting and moving so as to reduce the risk of injury in the workplace.
Candidates will have the opportunity to use the Health & Safety Executive Manual Handling Assessment Chart Tool Kit.
The course is tailored to meet the requirements of specific industry environments. eg office staff, construction workers, warehouse & distribution and ground staff etc.

Accreditation
Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992: (As amended) (MHOR)
The MHOR 1992 establish a clear hierarchy of measures for dealing with risks from manual handling, these are:
Avoid hazardous manual handling operations so far as is reasonably practicable; Assess any hazardous manual handling operations that can not be avoided; and Reduce the risk of injury so far as is reasonably practicable
