Telescopic Handler (Rough Terrain)

Who is this for?
These programmes have been designed for those who wish to attain proof of training & assessment in the use of Rough Terrain Telescopic Handlers in construction or land based industries, in particular farmers, employees of the hire industry, building contractors, amenity landscapers & owner drivers.
Course Duration
Training and/or assessing can take place at our training centre or ‘on-site’ at your workplace*. Operators with proven operating & industry experience will require less training time. Candidates with 3 years operating experience, 2 of which are on the telehandler may opt for assessment only. Experience is subject to evidence and profiling.
Note: Candidates will need to upgrade from red to blue card within 3 years by completing an NVQ level 2 and logging 300 hours of experience. Please call for further details on upgrades.
Accreditation
Successful candidates are registered with the appropriate awarding body, recognised by the Health & Safety Commission.
Additional Information
If candidates wish to operate on Major Contractor’s sites they must successfully complete the CITB Prometric touch screen Safety Test. This is an Independent theory test & can be taken before or after the practical training. However, paperwork cannot be processed or the log book issued until proof of successful pass of the health & safety test is received.
